Choral Elite is an Inaugural Concert that showcase the best choirs in Singapore. It is put together by the best choirs in Singapore , The Vocal Consort, Victoria Chorale and Victoria Junior College all of which have attained high awards in International Choral Competitions.
A variety of contemporary choral works from around the globe will be performed in the concert, highlighting leading composers of our time.
This concert will be conducted by Mr. Nelson Kwei, five times winner of the "Best Choral Conductor” award in prestigious international choral festivals.
Please support this local choral event and purchase your tickets from any sistic outlets!
P/s: Miss Yin will most probably be involved in this concert! :)

For those of you who still don't know, we have choir practice on the following days:
Thursday, 5th November, 0900-1200
Tuesday, 24th November, 1000-1300
Thursday, 26th November, 1000-1300
Tuesday, 1st December, 1000-1300
Thursday, 3rd December, 1000-1300
Monday, 28th December, 1400-1700
Wednesday, 30th December, 1400-1700
NOTE: EVERYBODY is required to come unless you have remedial for the whole 3 hours or are overseas or are sick. If your remedial ends before choir does, you MUST come to choir, even if it's for less than half an hour. If you are overseas, you are required to photocopy the page of your passport where there is a stamp of your overseas date. If you are sick, you are required to produce an MC. Parents letters are NOT accepted. If you fail to do any of the above and do not turn up for choir, your attendance will be marked with a big fat ZERO. Thank you.

SYNOPSIS
Wearing the many hats of composer, educator, and conductor, Leong Yoon Pin is mainly known for his role as composer. His compositional output include two symphonies, the tone poems Blessing the Seas, Temasekian, and Episodes in Journey to the West, the opera Bunga Mawar, the concert overture Dayong Sampan, a piano concerto, choral and other many instrumental works. But perhaps Leong is best known for his choral works, many of which were locally commissioned and performed by both amateur and professional choirs. These include the popular Street Calls, Dragon Dance, Nostalgia, Here Comes the bride and Love Quatrains.

Hi Choir,
I'm Yunxian =). I'm pretty sure that you guys are somewhat surprised that I'm posting, since I hardly do so. I have much to say, especially since I'm about to leave, and I kind of forgot what I wanted to say during the elections, so I decided to do a post.
Firstly, I want to say that I'm really, really proud to be part of the NH choir, part of the hard work that everyone had placed in to attain that once seemingly elusive Gold. Yes, its true that sometimes I get frustrated with the fact that we seem to be not improving, and also with the fact that sometimes the attitude of you guys' really suck, but it is also true that I love all of you for making me laugh, feel excited, cry, angry and feel the wonderful emotions that I had experienced through my time with all of you.
I've watched the inexperienced us gain experience over the past four years, through countless performances, learned many different lessons along with all of you, through several rounds of scoldings. Every step we took left a mark within me, and I will never forget all the wonderful or bitter times we shared together.
Some of you may say that you first entered Choir for the sake of the air-conditioner, CCA points, or some other weird reason. We might also have scolded all of you having no passion for Choir. However, now I'm very proud of all of you, because you have shown your passion for choir, not through your improvement, but through the fact that you stuck with Choir despite all the up and downs we had.
We may not have the best attitude in the world, neither the best voices, but I believe that
we will grow as years go by. I want to return to NH choir someday after I leave, to see that all of you people have turned into an even better choir, both in attitude and skill.
I've learnt so much in Choir, whether it is to sing properly, to listen, to deal with problems, to be confident or to conduct. To tell the truth, I don't think I will be able to forget Choir for all you guys had done for me, or for all I had done for all of you.
It just dawned on me this morning that I would really leave choir in another one or two months' time, and I would not be able to sing, laugh, perform with all of you or to conduct all of you ever again.
Like all of the other Sec 4s, I know I will miss all of you greatly. I will not forget all of our times together, that I promise. You guys are part of my memory now.
When we leave, I hope you guys will treat the next committee better, and work together to achieve greater heights with our dear Ms Yin. I want to see that when I return one day.
Remember, our SYF Gold is only our first step. Work harder and make us seniors all proud =).

Just becos I went away for a while, you all didn't even save me a grain of rice.

I wanted to eat after remidial, but you guys told me there was food coming, so don't eat.
I listened and didn't eat.
I went away for a while, and came back without anything to eat.
I was so dead hungry.
I haven't eaten for the whole day.
And what you all left was te gravy of the vege.
I still had to clear up your messes.
Why must I return the plates to the aunty?
I don't understand.
I did not eat.
I did not get anything.
I did not want to spoil you day.
So I just took my bag and went home.
You all know I have bad temper, I could have screamed at you all.
But I didn't cos I love you guys.
I don't wish to spoil your day.
I had to ren.
Ren my gastrict.
And had to buy my own food.
I don't know what to say.
I just felt heartbroken.
Maybe I shouldn't have volunteered to help carry the food.
I don't know why was I so enthu.
I don't know why am I doing this when I'm sick, and my condition worsen.
I don't know why am I saying all this.
